In February 2019, among other things, a laser scanning flight took place over the city area of Braunschweig in cooperation with the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying of Lower Saxony (LGLN) and the city drainage Braunschweig GmbH. As a result, classified elevation points of the surface with a dot density of more than 8 points/m² are available. The accuracy of the measurement data/single point coordinates is ± 0.15 m (standard deviation). It is usually much better, as terrestrial comparative measurements in the urban area showed. The original raw measurement data is available as a 3D point cloud (unregularly distributed single points) in the format LAS/LAZ. A delivery in further data formats as well as as thinned point data sets, interpolated to regular point grids is possible. On request, individually pronounced elevation representations such as elevation lines, digital terrain models (DGM) and digital surface models (DOM) can be derived and offered as a data set or map.
