Historical maps (Meßtischblatt, TK25 DDR — Edition State, TK25 since 1990)

For citizens who are historically and natively interested, we offer the raster data of old topographic maps of the Reich Office for state reception of the German Reich and the GDR ministries of the interior and for national defence. The maps document images of the Earth’s surface with a focus on important maps of the 20th century. Landscape changes due to industrialisation, settlement and other current events are clearly recognizable when comparing the historical map contents with the current situation. The data from three different previous maps of the current topographic maps: 1. Measuring table sheet before 1945, current status 1922-1945 (single maps after 1945) 2. TK25 DDR Edition State, current status 1976-1989 3. TK25 from 1990, up-to-date status 1990-1996 (individual maps deviating before 1990 or after 1996) In addition, a separate presentation of the sheet section with further factual information (e.g. current status) for data 1-3 is offered.
