Dataset description
The sustainable improvement of flood prevention, flood protection and flood risk management in Dresden is a generational task. The Dresden Flood Preparation Plan (PHD), commissioned by the City Council in May 2004 and confirmed by a decision of August 2010, pursues a complex, area-related and cross-water approach. The state of play of the implementation of the measures at the Elbe, the United Weißeritz, the Lockwitzbach, second order waters, groundwater and the sewerage system is regularly updated or documented and is permanently and publicly available in the theme city plan of the state capital Dresden. More than 200 individual measures, which were addressed in the text version of the Plan Flood Preparation Dresden in the version of Decision V0431/10 of 12 August 2010 (PHD 2010), are presented in the map “Measures of the plan flood prevention 2010” (Map 4.32.2 of the Dresden Environmental Atlas, 1st edition). The measures of the PHD 2010, which are no further pursued, are shown in the map “Measures of the Planes Flood Preparation 2010” (Map 4.32.2 of the Dresden Environmental Atlas, 1st edition) in grey.
