The interoperable INSPIRE download service (WFS) Soil (Soil Geological Map of the State of Brandenburg 1: 50 000) represents the most high-resolution ground geological map in the scale of 1:50,000 (BK50) of the LBGR. Already appeared: Sheet L3744 (Potsdam). Further sheets are in progress. More information can be found at http://www.geo.brandenburg.de/lbgr/boden_gru and http://www.geo.brandenburg.de/ows/htdocs/Bodenuebersichtskarte.html. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the floor map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WFS includes the following feature types:
— derived profile (so: DerivedSoilProfile), which serves as the reference profile for a particular type of soil in a given geographical area, the upper and lower depth of the profile element, measured from the surface (0 cm) of a soil profile (in cm)
— Soil body (so:SoilBody), which shows a demarcated and with respect to certain soil properties and/or spatial patterns homogeneous part of the floor ceiling.
