Dataset description

The interoperable INSPIRE representation service (WMS) Soil (potential location suitability of geothermal heat collectors in Brandenburg) provides an overview of the suitability of the naturally stored, deposited soil for the near-surface, geothermal use of heat energy. The heat energy stored in the ground/surface surface can be obtained via heat exchangers (so-called geothermal heat collectors) and used by heat pumps for heating purposes (soil geothermal energy). The map shows the location suitability for geothermal collectors. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the floor map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WMS includes the following layers: — SO.thermalCollectorsFieldCapacityFederalMethod: Potential location suitability for geothermal heat collectors — Bunde Method: Field Capacity (FK) — SO.thermalCollectorsFieldCapacityStateMethod: Potential location suitability for geothermal collectors — landing method: Field Capacity (FK) — SO.thermalCollectorsWiltingPointFederalMethod: Potential location suitability for geothermal heat collectors — Bunde Method: Permanent Welke Point (PWP) — SO.thermalCollectorsWiltingPointStateMethod: Potential location suitability for geothermal collectors — landing method: Permanent Welke Point (PWP) — SO.SoilBody: Demarcated and with respect to certain soil characteristics and/or spatial patterns of homogeneous part of the floor ceiling. — The compliant INSPIRE view service (WMS) Soil provides an overview of the suitability of natural stored, deposited soil for the near-surface, geothermal use of thermal energy.
