Dataset description
The metadata record describes all designated protected areas in the district of Mittelsachsen in the category “Area Natural Monument”. On the basis of these Regulations/Decisions there is a total area of 4.85 km². Land natural denominations are legally binding individual creations of nature with up to five hectares in accordance with § 28 BNatSchG in conjunction with § 18 SächsNatSchG. The Landratsamt Mittelsachsen is responsible for the designation of the land natural monuments as the Lower Nature Conservation Authority.
