Areas of particular importance for nature conservation (FBN) are depicted in the landscape programme if they have at least an intermediate importance for nature conservation and landscape protection from a supra-local point of view, diversity, representativeness, rarity or endangerment of their species and where protection and care — apart from locally required rehabilitation measures — are in the foreground. The main basis for the selection of these areas is the notified Natura 2000 sites, the area quotas from the data on species and biotope conservation in Saarland (ABSP), the assessments on landscape framework planning and aerial image evaluations. The presentation takes place in 3 stages: medium meaning, high meaning or very high meaning. In this shapefile, the areas of very high importance for nature conservation are presented. s.
