LAPRO2009 — suspected erosion on arable land

The potentially erosion-prone agricultural land currently under arable use has been identified as areas with current erosion suspicions (from an area size above 10 ha). The soil overview map of the Saarland, data on slope inclination for the slope class above 11° and the data of the agricultural land used were available as a basis for determining the areas. For particularly erosion-sensitive soils, a slope inclination from 7° was applied. Since the slope length of the usable land varies due to the location and local differentiations such as arable terraces could not be taken into account, the erosion suspicion on site must be checked as part of the municipal landscape planning.
