The Map Service (WMS Group) represents the spatial data on original protection (area) categories of the landscape programme Saarland. These are both planning (LSG and WSG) as well as inventory data (uncirculated spaces).: A new concept of landscape conservation areas is presented (except “Biosphere Bliesgau”). In the area of the “Biosphere Bliesgau”, the revision of the landscape conservation areas will take place within the framework of the holistic development contract for the Biosphere Reserve. The focus of the reorganisation is on: • the floodplains of river valleys and stream valleys, in particular with still functional retention areas and particular importance for species and biotope protection and recreation, • the open spaces and green areas on the settlement axis of the central Saartal, the Saarlouiser Be-cken and the Neunkirch compaction area, which are under high settlement pressure and at the same time have a high importance as open spaces close to settlements, • the cultural landscapes of the Saarland, which are considered particularly valuable, • openland areas to be preserved with changes in use and the spread of leisure use, • areas threatened by the expansion of settlement, trade or raw materials industry, should not be built or exploited from a landscape care point of view, • areas with high recreational and recreational pressure or increased external development (e.g. Niedtal, valleys of the Losheim gravel corridors), • landscape sections of particular importance for landscape design and recreation (e.g. Saarschleife, Limberg, Litermont, Schaumberg, Weiselberg) and • forest areas of particular importance for local recreation and natural balance. In order to avoid duplication of identification, nature reserves located within these spaces are not included in the landscape conservation area reorganisation scenery. see Saarland Landscape Programme, Chapter 6.6.2
