The classes of mean horizontal mountain permeability of hydrogeological units distributed on the Earth’s surface without top layers (classification scheme according to the Hydrogeological Carting Instructions, Ad-Hoc-AG Hydrogeology 1997) With sufficient data base, the classification is based on the determination of permeability from pumping tests, in other cases on experience values. The qualitative data on the permeability of the binding top layers were estimated on the basis of their lithological formation. If the mountain permeability of a hydrogeological unit comprises two classes, it receives the colour scheme of the class with the lower permeability, it comprises three classes it receives the coloration of the middle class.
