The extensive distribution of powerful, predominantly sandy gravel quaternary loose rocks (pore aquifers, PGWL) is shown. In principle, groundwater deposits are to be expected in these deposits. In combination with the hydrogeological map, the designated pore aquifers detect a contact of a solid rock aquifer with a pore aquifer and can thus provide indications of a possible interrelationship between the groundwater bodies in these units (except in the Upper Rhinegraben and the Alpenvorkand).
