Within the framework of the project “storage catasters” led by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials, the LGRB prepared potential maps of storage and barrier rocks in the Baden-Württemberg part of the Molasse Basin and the Oberrheingraben on the basis of available geological data and uniform evaluation criteria. The map shows the barrier potential of the Upper Freshwater Molasses based on the depth and thickness of the rocks (https://media.lgrb-bw.de/link/spk/spk_bkmol_1.pdf).
