Dataset description

The historical maps — plans from the area around Potsdam — were published by the Brandenburg State Survey in 2001 as a colour reproduction. The originals are in the Staatsbibliothek Preußischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin. Available in landscape format, the maps show the area of Potsdam and its development in 1785 and 1786. These historical maps are characterised by a high proportion of details, including the representation of the different terrain shapes using the Schraffen method.
