From the year 1875, the founding year of the Prussian state reception, the recording began in the style of the measuring table sheets 1: 25,000 and was essentially completed by 1912. The new photographs of the leaves, which were made before 1875, were completed in 1931.
With heightline representation and reference to normal zero, they led to an independent map work, which was primarily intended to meet the increasing civil need.
In 1931, the sheets of this work constituted almost exclusively the largest-scale topographic map work and thus the basis for the successive dimensions for the area of responsibility of the then Reichamt für Landesaufnahme.
The measuring table sheets are available plano and are mostly supplied as monochrome, rarer than multi-coloured printing.
