Mean maximum water equivalent of snow cover (HAD)

Map 2.11 “Medium’s maximum water equivalent of snow cover” gives an overview on the regional distribution of the average maximum values calculated from the annual Maxima in the train season. The display is based on 1 km² grid fields. Different class widths are selected for the classification of the grid fields. In the Values range up to 100 mm are class widths of 25 mm, in the range between 100 mm up to 300 mm of 50 mm. The values above 300 mm water equivalent are arranged into two classes: 300 mm to 400 mm and an upward open class of ≥ 400 mm.
