For the creation of the potential map, the layer directories of a total of 28742 holes were used. The above-mentioned thermal conductivity values for the water-saturated and dry or partially saturated zone were assigned to the individual layers, taking into account the groundwater fluid level. Using computational methods, the effective thermal conductivity values for the depth intervals 0 m — 50 m and 0 m — 100 m were weighted and interpolated between the holes. The thermal conductivity is therefore displayed on two cards. The values of thermal conductivity used were conservatively applied to avoid the risk of underdimension of geothermal probes. Additional effects, e.g. due to groundwater flow, were not taken into account. Therefore, the thermal conductivity values derived from geothermal response tests may be higher.
