Metaver — CSW2.0

The Metaver search engine can be used to research and find mainly environmental data held by the participating federal states (Hamburg, Bremen, Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg). However, the metaver does not contain the actual data, but only the information about this data, the so-called metadata. This includes, among other things, a brief description of the data, information on the time and space reference as well as the corresponding contact address and important references. Access to the actual data takes place in part directly via a download link or via a data service link or indirectly via the specified contact address. Responsible for the operation of the Metaver is the state company Geoinformation and Surveying. The data providers themselves are responsible for the content and up-to-dateness of the metadata.
