The mileage sheets of Saxony include 180 map sheets. The Berlin copy, also known as the King’s copy, was made by Sächs. Ing.-Korps 1780-1806 under Ltg. by Friedrich Ludwig Aster. The originals are currently in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin — Prussian Cultural Heritage. The maps contain borders, roads, paths, towns, waters, forests, meadows, wine and high altitudes. Further information is also available at the SLUB offer “German Photo Library” at http://www.deutschefotothek.de/info/meilen.html. The leaf orientation is not north-west, but north-west.
