Dataset description
The data set contains the mosaic areas of forest site exploration in the Free State of Saxony. Mosaic areas are the smallest forest natural space unit (artification unit) which is identified as part of forest site exploration on the basis of ecological, soil geological, geographical and climatic criteria, as well as the distribution of certain vegetation units and tree species. For each mosaic area, the height range, the geological starting material, the terrain forming, the relief type, the nutrient force type and the hydromorphic type are specified as attributes. The data is used for the forest location map.
