Dataset description

Natural soil fertility forms the basis for the agricultural and forestry use of our soils as well as for the establishment of site-adapted vegetation. The Saxony soil assessment instrument serves as a methodological basis for the present assessment based on the official soil map (BK 50) and the city floor concept map (SBK). The main input parameter is the amount of plant available water with additional consideration of soil type, use, slope and groundwater influences.
