This dataset provides the NUTS zones 1:250 000 (NUTS250) as at 31.12. for the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany. For the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the database includes the regions of the classification of territorial units NUTS for the purposes of European statistics. The NUTS regions are hierarchically structured, divided into three levels and are based on administrative units for Germany with few exceptions.
