The Saarland Transport Development Plan (VEP) ÖPNV foresees a further development of the public transport offer by establishing demand-oriented modes of operation in public transport, especially in rural areas. A data-based analysis should be used to identify in which areas of the Saarland Transport Association (SaarVV) supply gaps exist.
It was derived from this where potentially demand-based public transport could be set up as on-demand services (so-called on-demand traffic) as feeder and taker services to the existing public transport system.
The Mobility Analytics team of ioki GmbH was commissioned to investigate these on-demand potentials in Saarland.
There are the following data sets:
• Feeder stops • Grids:
O Raster_500_m o Raster_1000_m • Raster 1000_m Time Intervals:
O Raster_1000_m_0_3 (0 to 3 o‘clock) o Raster_1000_m_3_6 (3 to 6 o’clock) o Raster_1000_m_6_9 (6 to 9 o‘clock) o Raster_1000_m_9_12 (9 to 12 o’clock) o Raster_1000_m_12_15 (12 to 15 o‘clock) o Raster_1000_m_15_18 (15 to 18 o’clock) o Raster_1000_m_21_24 (21 to 24h)
