The atlas map 3.3 describes in a quantitative approach the occurrence and the spatial Distribution of standing waters in Germany: The area-based designation of the sea density reflects the percentage of sea surface area in relation to a grid area of 5 x 5 km² (adjoining smoothing 3 x 3 km²); Individual lakes with a sea size of 0.05 km² (5 ha) Sea area is represented in point signatures or in simplified outlines capturing.
