Plenary project area

Plenum is a new nature conservation strategy to achieve environmental and nature objectives not through public action from above, but on a voluntary basis together with the population from below. Plenary is committed to the conservation and development of biodiversity in large-scale, representative cultural landscapes. Building on the biotope mapping and the species conservation programme, the LUBW, in cooperation with the District Offices for Nature Conservation and Landscape Conservation and a scientific advisory board, identified an area cult with 19 core areas covering both nature reserves and typical cultural landscapes. From this backdrop, the Plenary Conception is currently being implemented in the following 5 project areas: Western Lake Constance, Allgäu-Oberschwaben, Kreis Reutlingen, Heckengäu and Naturgarten Kaiserstuhl. The areas cover 13 % of the land area.
