Precipitation station, Precipitation data

With the establishment of a common precipitation measurement network between the German Weather Service (DWD) and the Land B.-W., an area-representative large-scale precipitation measurement network was realised, which records precipitation data at a high technical level in a timely manner. This ombrometer measurement network consists of the basic measuring network of the DWD and the land compaction measurement network; in addition, stations of the air measurement network as well as other providers are available. The resulting data pool for water management and meteorology is particularly important for flood forecasts and precipitation warnings.
