Private forest in Saarland

Private forest in Saarland Private forest inventory: In the case of the present geometries, forest holdings with an existing forest facility according to the Saarland method and digitally available forest geometries (state forest, municipal forest, established private forest as of 2014) were eliminated. From orthophotos (soil resolution 20 cm) the geometries of the remaining forest pieces were derived and divided into different types. After this object formation, an individual evaluation and attribute of the objects was carried out in the way of remote sensing. These results are checked on a case-by-case basis and the results are incorporated into the data. The data processing was completed in January 2016.
