Prussian original measuring tables 1: 25 000 2740 Freyenstein

The production of the Prussian original measuring tables began in 1822 for the entire territory of Prussia. The cards were hand-drawn unique pieces in scale 1: 25 000. They were not published; they were merely intended to form the basis for maps of smaller scales. With the -Instruction for the Topographic Works of the Royal Prussian General Staff of 1821 and with the Explanations to the Model Sheets for Topographic Works the Royal Prussian General Staff- were made in terms of content and design. The original measuring tables mark the beginning of the topographic cartography, which has evolved in various stages, but is still based on these roots. The cards are available plano and are mostly available as print. Individual card sheets have been reworked in the colour scheme and are thus even more similar to the original. These are available as a high-quality plot.
