Public libraries Hamburg

The Hamburg Public Library Foundation maintains the public library system of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The Bücherhallen Hamburg is Hamburg’s largest cultural institution and has 32 district libraries, a central library and two bookbuses. All locations have the mission to be partners of citizens and educational institutions in the realisation of reading, learning, orientation and educational interests. They are simultaneously a cultural place and co-carrier of socio-cultural district work. The Bücherhallen Hamburg provide information on locations, media stock and customer structure.
