Dataset description

As part of the “Energieatlas Baden-Württemberg”, the suitability of roof surfaces for photovoltaic systems was determined on the basis of high-resolution laser scan data and the solar energy potential on roof surfaces (in kW) was calculated nationwide for the whole of Baden-Württemberg. The potential analysis relates to location factors such as inclination, alignment, shading and solar irradiation. These factors were calculated using a digital surface model.
