Forest rescue points are defined locations in the forest that describe meeting points using coordinates. In the event of an accident, these meeting points can be used to communicate an accident or helper with the rescue service to facilitate the location of the accident. The identification of the coordinate meeting points can be done with signs fixed in the forest or virtual, i.e. as pure coordinates. Rescue points do not reduce the risk of accidents, but above all serve people who are unaware of location to better orientation and describe their location in the forest. Forest rescue points were created as part of the “forest rescue chain”. The Forst rescue chain describes the operational measures and steps from the start of initial aid to the emergency services.
