Reserved areas are areas in which a technical concern (here: Extraction of mineral resources) should be given particular weight in the balancing of competing uses. The Regional Plans define reserved areas for the extraction of rocks and earths by the Regional Planning Associations, as well as for the extraction of industrial minerals and metallic mineral resources.
