Dataset description

A sample sheet defines the topographic objects to be reproduced as well as the cartographic signatures to be used for their representation. The present two sample sheets with the pattern and a writing knife as well as the accompanying explanations for the topographic works of the Royal Prussian General Staff were commissioned by the 2. Departments (General Staff) of the Royal Ministry of War drawn and published in 1818. The present sample sheets and their explanations were reprinted by the Land Survey Office North Rhine-Westphalia in 1989.
