Soil benchmarks Mainz 2012, The soil benchmark is an average position value of the soil in EUR/m² for a majority of land (ground benchmark zone), for which substantially the same conditions of use and value exist. It refers to ready-to-build and non-contributory plots. Deviations of individual plots in value-determining properties such as special location, type and extent of use, soil quality etc. result in corresponding deviations of their soil values from the soil benchmark.:
