Soil map of Lower Saxony 1: 50 000 — Soil Regions (WMS Service)

The soil regions (BR) are landscape genetic or structural geological and morphologically recognizable spatial units with similar climatic conditions. Knowledge of the determining regionally effective features allows them to be used both in mapping and in the allocation of characteristic characteristics and characteristics. The soil regions are thus aids for systematic soil mapping, description of soil shapes and quality assurance. In Lower Saxony, the soil regions of the coastal holocene, the supraregional river landscapes, the geest, the mountain foreland, the mountain country and the low mountain range are distinguished.
