Source protected areas may be designated for special protection in the catchment area of medicinal springs. The source protection areas for healing springs designated in accordance with § 53 WHG and § 45 WG are recorded and updated. They consist of different source protected area zones (QSG zones), which may be classified according to qualitative or quantitative aspects.
Qualitative protection zones
— Zone I (capacity)
— Zone II (closer protection zone)
— Zone III (Other protection zone — inner area)
— Zone IV (Other outer zone protection zone)
Quantitative protection zones
— Zone A (Interior zone)
— Zone B (External zone)
— Zone C
— Zone D
From the QSG zones, the source protected area is formed as a ring. Differentiated according to established, provisionally ordered and undefined areas. The database published on the Internet contains the legally established and provisionally ordered source protection areas in Baden-Württemberg.
For the geometry data, the Official Property Register Information System (ALKIS) serves as the basis for recording.
