Staka — Forestry maps NRW

The site map serves as the basis for forestry and forestry planning, for measures of forest conservation and forest ecological planning of nature conservation. With the forest location mapping, the survey characteristics of location, climate, soil and vegetation are recorded and the links between forest growth and location characteristics are described. The characterisation of site types also includes productive, forest history, immission ecology and forest building aspects. The result is an eco-series system of site types. They are shown in a 1:10000 scale colored location type map and are described in an explanatory volume. The procedure has been carried out since 1984 by TK25. The forest floor map is created by the GLA as the basis — unlike the location mapping of other federal states. It is also intended to store the location maps in a forest-ecological information system.
