The map shows the estimated heat demand density for final energy (EE) for the provision of room heat and hot water per building block in GWh/km² for the year 20xx. As a data basis, the consumption-calibrated useful heat requirements of the heat atlas Deutschland 2.0 were used (https://www.geomer.de/produkte/geodaten/waermebedarfsdaten-waermeatlas-20.html).
The utility energy requirements were converted into final energy and calibrated with the Freiburg climate balance. The methodological procedure for the determination of final energy is described in the Master Plan Wärme Freiburg 2030 in chapters 2.1. and 2.2. (see “Downloads and Links”).
