The dataset includes polygons of the 221 Wuppertal voting districts. They are led in the small-scale structure of the city of Wuppertal, a knot and edge model of the city that serves as a spatial reference base for the Wuppertal municipal statistics. Within this system, the voting districts are aggregated from building blocks and building block areas, simultaneously forming a real subdivision of the municipal electoral districts. The Wuppertal voting districts are constant in the long term. Changes are made by the mayor only if changes in population distribution or constitutional requirements make this necessary.
This last time took place on 20 February 2020 for the municipal elections on 13 September 2020, taking into account the judgment of the Constitutional Court for the State of NRW of 20.12.2019 (VerfGH 35/19).
Future changes in the Wuppertal voting districts are not predictable.
The dataset is available under an open data license (CC BY 4.0).
