Water network density (HAD)

Map 1.2 of the water network density marks a new way to represent a morphometric size in hydrology. It takes into account that the network of surface waters includes not only rivers (rivers, streams, canals and trenches), but also standing waters (lakes, reservoirs, ponds, ponds, ponds, hereinafter referred to as ‘lakes’). In addition to the conventional river density (without dry valley density), the water network density shown here also includes a value for the lakes. The flow density calculation is based on a method (Linedensity method, SILVERMAN 1986) that assigns the respective central grid field to the quotients of line length/area via a freely selectable circular reference surface.
