Weather forecast Saxony

This service provides up-to-date weather forecast information for the state of Saxony and neighbouring areas. The data is recalculated every 6 hours by the numerical prediction model WRF-EMS (The Weather Research and Forecast Environmental Modeling System) in the Geoinformatics Laboratory of the University of Applied Sciences Dresden. It will be for a Forecast duration of 48 hours weather maps published for the following parameters: — Temperature at 2 m height — Precipitation quantity — Wind direction and wind speed at 10 m altitude — Relative humidity — Cloud cover — Snow depth — Air pressure at sea level For the calculation of forecast data, global meteorological model data of the American Weather Service (NOAA) and surface data of the geological service of the USA (USGS) used. Additionally, for 48 hours station-related forecast data are provided as pictograms of the Norwegian weather service yr.no. Additional meteograms can be queried via a material data query.
