WFS CORINE Land Cover 5 ha — 2015

The download service of the CORINE Land Cover 5 ha (CLC5) dataset provides a description of the landscape in vector format under the nomenclature of the CLC classes, which, on the one hand, reflect land cover and also include aspects of land use. The basis for CLC5 2015 is the land cover models Germany 2015 (LBM-DE2015) and 2018 (LBM-DE2018) with their detailed breakdown in land cover (LB) and land use (LN) as well as information on the sealing (SIE) and vegetation (VEG) share at a minimum size of 1 ha. Unambiguous CLC classes are derived from the combinations of LB and LN taking into account SIE and VEG (“CLC2015”). By intersecting the LBM-DE datasets in 2015 and 2018, the changes in the landscape were determined. Using this change dataset, a recalculation was carried out — starting from CLC5 2018 — to generate the dataset CLC5 2015. These data were then generalised to a size of 5 ha. The data are protected by copyright, but are provided free of charge with the data license Germany Attribution 2.0.
