The WMS “Climate Analysis” service is part of the Climate Adaptation System (www.klimaanpassung.nrw.de). The wms service summarises the maps of the climate analysis NRW. The group layer “Climate Analysis” is divided into six maps: Climate top map, climate analysis map (at night), climate analysis map (days), climate analysis map, map of affected persons per municipality and map planning recommendations regional planning. These maps were derived on the basis of land use data, building data, sealing data and using a mesoscale climate model (FITNAH) by GEO-NET Umweltconsulting GmbH and contain information on the current climate status and planning instructions. In doing so, the climatic situation is recorded nationwide in NRW, as well as the (thermally) polluted settlement areas (=active spaces) are identified and demarcated and evaluated from corresponding compensatory areas. The climate analysis was carried out in accordance with the VDI directive 3787, sheet 1.
