Dataset description

Display service for the record from https://www.deutschlandatlas.bund.de : Mobile broadband availability with LTE from 2Mbit/s in % of the area in 2021. Mobile phone standards are LTE and the successor 5G. Currently, both variants are used to access online services with mobile devices. Download rates from 2 Mbit/s are considered to be the lower limit for meaningful use. The vast majority of municipalities are supplied with LTE bandwidths of at least 2 Mbps with over 97 percent of their area. About half of the municipalities have an area coverage with LTE of almost 100 percent.
