WMS Image flight overviews DOP MV (WMS_MV_BFÜ_DOP)

Digital orthophotos (DOPs) are high-resolution, distortion-free aerial images that have a uniform image scale and an exact relation to the country coordinate system. They document the state of landscape at a given time and contain completely all landscape information visible from the “bird perspective” without having already been selected or structured. The Office for Geoinformation, Surveying and Cascades coordinates the country’s imaging projects and public bodies. In order to avoid uneconomic multi-flights, an image flight program has been established to cover the land area in a cycle of 5 years with a spring and a summer flight. Aircraft-based image flights are contracted annually for approximately 1/3 of the country’s surface. This service is used to represent the flying areas of the Digital Orthophotos. It is operated by the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, State Office for Internal Administration.
