For mining-free mineral resources within the meaning of Section 3(3) of the Federal Mining Act of 13.08.1980 (BGBl. I p. 1310), the Land Office for Geology, Raw Materials and Mining (LGRB) grants public mining authorisations (concessions) for exploration (mine-law permit) and for extraction (mine authorisation and mine ownership). In addition, old mining rights from the period prior to the entry into force of the Federal Mining Act continue in the form of mine ownership and land-related mining rights. In Baden-Württemberg there are mining permits for hydrocarbons (petroleum, natural gas, oil shale), salts and brine, ores, geothermal energy and other mineral resources. Extinct mining authorisations provide indications of potential mining hazards and contaminated sites (e.g. Cavities, old holes, heaps). — The topic shows the existing, the requested and the extinct mining authorisations. — Further information: https://lgrb-bw.de/bergbau
