(WMS,WFS) — Cone seals: Berths in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea from 2005 (sh-lkn, Geodienst)

This download and presentation service provides all cone seal data available from 2005 from counting flights in the area of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. The data are collected from 2005 in the seasons relevant for cone seals (November — January (littering time) and March — April (hair change period). Sightings outside this period are not provided in this dataset (see seals: Robben: Monitoring of stocks of seals and seals in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea from 1989). The throwing period of the seals takes place over the turn of the year between November and January of the following year. In order to simplify the processing and filtering of the data, the column “Robben Year” has been inserted, which for cone seals assigns the months November and December to the following year, so that the throwing time is not split at a selection of the collection year. The service contains the following information: Number of seals per berth, proportion of young animals.
