A resting place is a calculated area that is generated on the basis of individual berths of seals or seals. . For this purpose, the berths are grouped spatially per year and 2 are also carried out on the basis of individual flights. A resting place is defined as a circle with a radius of 500 m around a berth (with at least 1 cone lobe), whereby several berths can thus be aggregated into a larger area. The distance of 500 m was chosen because disturbances more than 500 m away have no or little effect on dormant seals. These areas are required for intervention planning in order to minimise the disturbances of seals associated with the operation. For seals, flights of 1.03-28.2 are taken into account for the calculation of resting places per year. The service includes the following information and layers: 1. Resting places per year aggregated: the location and size of the resting place and the period of recordings included in the calculation (single-year layer and layer with all data of all years). 2. Resting places per flight: Here also information about the number of individuals can be derived (year layer and layer with data of all flights of all years).
