The ATOM Feed Download Service for sites of stationary sirens in Wuppertal provides a dataset for download, which includes the location descriptions of 37 existing (as of 09/2021) and 9 planned, point-shaped modeled stationary sirens. In addition to the sirens, the power, type (manufacturer short name) and status (inactive, active or planned) are indicated. The stationary high-performance sirens form the backbone of the combined population warning system of the city of Wuppertal, which includes an additional 6 mobile sirens and other elements (radio and loudspeaker announcements, citizen phone, Internet messages). The continuation of the data set takes place irregularly, respectively promptly after a real change to the sirens. The open data set available in Shape, KML, GeoJSON and CSV format under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0) is nevertheless automatically updated in a fixed weekly cycle. The download service is updated daily by comparing it with its metadata and the metadata for the siren locations dataset in the GEOkatalog.NRW.
