Dataset description

This map provides information on the energy potential of arable land with short rotation plantations (KUP). This is a potential calculation per municipality with results from the project “KUP-Scout: A poplar yield model for Bavaria” of the LWF from 2016. Arable land with a low number of arable land (≤ 40) and good water supply are designated as suitable areas for KUPs. In this respect, this is a technical potential. The map does not indicate to what extent the potentials are already being exploited or actually made available.
