Dataset description

In Münster, LoRaWAN sensors monitor the water quality in the Aasee. For this purpose, the pH, the oxygen content and the water temperature are constantly measured with underwater sensors in the lake and sent by LoRaWAN to a monitoring station. This Smart City project is the implementation of a citizens’ idea from the MÜNSTERHACK 2018. The data are monitored in real time at the City of Münster and thus represent an important pillar of intervention management for the Aasee. As part of the open data initiative of the City of Münster, the measured data in this dataset is made available as open data on a daily basis. You will find all measurement data from June 2021 in the GIT repository linked below. The data is updated every night and is available at 10 minute intervals. The most up-to-date data is always in the CSV file, which is named after the current month. Example is “2021-07.csv” for July 2021. The CSV files contain the following columns: Date (=date and time) Water temperature (in °C) pH value Oxygen content (in mg/l) Please note when using this data: These are unchecked raw data of the sensors. Incorrect data (e.g. due to malfunction of the sensors or due to transmission disturbances) are not excluded. It cannot be guaranteed that the data will be available continuously and that the measured values correspond to the real events.
